CAHUITA HIKING AND SNORKEL
Parque Nacional Cahuita has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fish and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or sting ray.
This beach has a horse shoe shape, with the entrance of the park at one end and beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end.
You will be picked up at the villa and taken to the village of Cahuita.
There the guide will be waiting for you to take you by boat to the coral reef
where you will go snorkeling for two hours in two different points of
the National Park. After that we will go back to the beach for a rest
and to have a snack with tropical fruits.
The little break at the beach is followed by a 1 hour guided hike in this wonderful coastal
forest: monkeys, sloths, birds, poison dart frogs, iguanas and other
interesting encounters are common. During the hike you will also learn
about the history of Cahuita. At the end of the walk, the van will take
you back to our villa.

What to bring: Swimming suit , sunscreen, hat, long sleeve shirt/rash guard to cover
your back, camera (ideally water proof), water bottle, change of
clothes, towel, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, binoculars,
a little cash.
PUNTA UVA RIVER AND OCEAN KAYAK TOUR
Easy float trip. You paddle slowly and quietly up the river looking for animals along the way including monkeys, sloths, turtles, Jesus lizards, iguanas and birds. When you can go no further you turn around and float to Punta Uva beach!
Here you ocean kayak out to see Grape Point (Punta Uva) and its natural bridge. Ever wanted to kayak surf? The waves at the point are considered some of the best for kayak surfing! No experience needed; We'll help with pointers. Or you can forget about ocean kayaking and swim in the friendly waves, hike to the point or relax on the beach.

This is a walking/hiking tour which last 2.5 to 3 hours. Some physical exertion required, but guest in average physical condition have no problems. Total distance is 1.6 k or one mile. Elevation change about 60 mts or 200 ft. Fresh water is provided at half way point but personal water is recommended. Sturdy shoes are recommended but not required. Flip flops are fine if you like to walk in them.
